Dot Dot Jade Bunny Mooncake
Mid-autumn festival is the second most important festival after Lunar New Year in Chinese culture and so Dot Dot will be launching our very own Jade Bunny Mooncakes in time for observing and honouring the full moon on 21st September
Crafted in-house they come in two distinct flavours that puts our own Dot Dot spin on this food tradition
Our non-vegan Jade Bunny mooncake comes encased in a special buttery cookie pastry crust. Inside is a nod to the tradition of putting a whole salted egg yolk in traditional Cantonese mooncakes and is filled with a custard filling that oozes out with a liquid centre salted egg yolk custard, when warmed up in the oven or microwave
Our vegan Jade Bunny Mooncake is encased in a dairy and butter free cookie pastry and then filled with purple yam and sweet potato centre to replace the traditional “egg yolk” filling that represents the full moon. An alternative mooncake for our vegan friends.
Comes as a set of two – one bunny and one embossed traditional circle.
Ingredients (non-vegan): Eggs, caster sugar, butter, cake flour, honey (pastry), salted egg yolk, milk, eggs, double cream, caster sugar, butter, vanilla essence, salt (filling)
